This morning we’re keeping an eye on Hurricane Rina in the Western Caribbean. It sure is hard to imagine hurricanes during this time of the year but technically we are in hurricane season. The Atlantic Hurricane season doesn’t officially end until the final day of November. If you recall, Wilma was a late October hurricane and this system impacted Florida. It looks as though Rina will eventually turn north and then northwest, possibly impacting the Florida Keys by Sunday. At this time hurricane warnings are in place for Punta Gruesa north to Cancun on the Yucatan Peninsula. The system could be a major hurricane by the time it reaches Cancun and Cozumel.
