Here is an updated snow forecast from our Baron Mesoscale Model. This is in line with our thinking regarding where snow may be heaviest in our area. An upper atmospheric low pressure system will rotate through north Alabama late tomorrow. Look for more rain and cold temperatures followed by a rain/snow mix early Tuesday morning. Snow showers will be possible along and north of I-20 Tuesday morning. There could be a dusting or more in places like Hamilton, Bear Creek, and Haleyville if this forecast verifies. Warm ground temperatures and wet roads should prevent major accumulultion issues. However, a surprise burst of heavier snow to the north may cause issues. That is why we will be keeping a close eye on the setup over the next 12-24 hours and fine tuning the forecast. Continue to check the blog for the latest updates, have a great Sunday.
