A winter weather advisory has been issued for parts of our area this morning. It looks like our northwest communities could once again have snow as a trailing upper level disturbance moves across the state. Walker, Cullman, Winston, Fayette, and Lamar counties are under the winter weather advisory through 1 PM. Some light accumulation on grassy surfaces or rooftops will be possible. At this time light rain is still impacting the state but within the next two hours snow will begin mixing with the rain and then we will see a transition over to snow. A few flakes can’t be ruled out as far south as Tuscaloosa and Birmingham but the bulk of the activity will remain north. Most of what you see on radar in Mississippi is all snow. We've included the latest webcam from Lamar County which shows all rain at this time. However, snow is now being reported in Tupelo and other portions of East Mississippi. Stay tuned!
