Hang-on out there! Winds are about to really pickup across the area as more cold air blasts into the state. Temperatures have already dropped 5-10 degrees across northern portions of the area and snow flurries have been reported as far south as Russellville. The temperature fall will continue, with lows in the middle 20s overnight. This secondary blast of colder air has brought 50+ mph wind gusts to parts of northern Mississippi and Tennessee. A wind advisory is in effect for our area through the rest of the afternoon and evening. We will also have a chance for a few snow flurries or a snow shower across parts of area.
