Clearing and Colder
The good news is the severe weather threat is over and there really isn't any bad news unless you just don't like a brief cold snap. We're expecting a few isolated thunderstorms through the early evening. The main threat would be small hail in West Alabama. We will see clearing skies after midnight with lows in the mid 40s.
Cold high pressure will build across the area over the next several days. We'll see sunshine Friday with highs around 58. No rain is expected through the weekend. We will be waking up to some nippy mornings with lows in the mid to upper 30s Saturday morning. A reinforcing shot of cold air will come through Saturday, but that will only mean a few clouds. Temperatures will fall into the upper 20s by Sunday.
A gradual warm up is expect next week. We'll see a chance of rain (no severe weather) back in the forecast Wednesday.
