On the news this morning we talked about a solar eclipse that will be taking place today. This is the type of eclipse in which the moon passes between the sun and the earth. Unfortunately, this celestial event will only be visible in the far western United States during the late afternoon. The moon is at apogee, the furthest point from the earth, so there will be a noticeable ring of light around the moon as it shifts in front of the sun. Although we won't see the event in Alabama we can't certainly catch it online. Check out the following LIVE Stream Links:
The next solar eclipse will be a total solar eclipse on November 13th.
