A cold front lingering to our west has slowed its' forward progression, giving us a more minimal chance of rainfall for today than earlier expected. Dense patchy fog has also filtered into west Alabama this morning. A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for most counties in northwest Alabama through 10 AM. This afternoon we are expecting mostly cloudy skies with a chance of an isolated shower or thunderstorm. The best chance of organized rain and thunderstorms will come in the overnight hours into midday Wednesday.
Once the front clears our area, we are expecting clearing skies by Wednesday evening.
Thursday and Friday should be sunny and cooler.
This weekend should bring partly cloudy skies our way with a chance of isolated showers on Saturday and scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible on Sunday.
Scattered Showers and thunderstorms remain in our forecast through early next week.
