The storms stayed strong as they crossed I-65 and continued moving east with wind gusts to 40 mph and heavy rain along with dangerous cloud-to-ground lightning. There are also flooding concerns in the east as more storms track across already saturdated grounds and show very slow movement.
Clearing will begin from the west as the trough responsible for the storms finally exits the region, but Monday/Tuesday we could still see some isolated thunderstorms.
Hot weather will follow with highs back near 90 for the second half of the week and into next weekend.
