We begin the day with mostly cloudy skies along with a few showers west of I-65. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will likely occur during the afternoon today. A more organized threat of stronger, possibly severe, storms is set to arrive tonight in the overnight hours. The time of of the greatest threat will likely be 9pm until 6am Friday. The storms could include damaging, straight-line winds and hail. There is a minimal threat of tornadoes or flooding with this system.
By Friday afternoon we should see our skies rapidly clear, with highs only reaching the upper 70s to low 80s.
Look for clear to partly cloudy skies this weekend with morning temps in the 50s and highs in the 80s.
