Based on aircraft reconnaissance, satellite and buoy data the low in the Gulf is now classified as Tropical Storm Debby.
Debby is moving slowly north and the forecast tracks vary from movement across Florida to a westward turn toward the Texas Gulf Coast. This track seems more likely at the moment but all interests along the Northern Gulf from Florida to Texas are being urged to monitor the storm.
Debby is already making history as the earliest fourth named storm of the season in the Atlantic Basin.
Temperatures and conditions across Central Alabama will top out in the upper 90s to around 100 with Heat Index Values ranging from 100-105 each day through the beginning of next week.
