Summer officially begins Wednesday at 6:09pm Central Daylight Time. From the temperatures lately - it has felt like Summer for a while now. Temperatures later this week will be above average with highs in the mid to upper 90s. A broad area of high pressure will keep us dry through the weekend. Mesoscale features could kick off a small chance of rain during the afternoon each day. These rain chances are less than 10% daily so no worries.
The longer range forecast still looks toasty for not only this week, but for the next three months. The Climate Prediction Center continues to forecast temperatures well above average this Summer. Rainfall amounts will be average to below this Summer.
Fortunately, the dewpoint temperatures will not be overally impressive (or oppressive) over the next couple of days, but I'm expecting a pretty sticky weekend.
