The forecast has been pretty comfortable lately - dewpoints in the 50s and highs in the mid 80s. Looks like things are changing quickly as we approach the upcoming weekend. The moisture has been steadly increasing over the last 24 hours. Notice the dewpoint increase in the last 24 hours.
We should be looking at mainly dry weather through Saturday prior to 4pm. The GFS computer model shows rain chances climbing over the weekend spreading in from the Southwest thanks to an upper-level Gulf low. It does not look like we'll see severe weather as part of the setup, but a few thunderstorms are possible. Sunday will largely be a wet day with occasional afternoon storms. Highs Sunday will reach the mid 80s.
Forecast models continue to suggest a wet pattern through early next week. I do think we'll see more rain and storms - especially Monday. The rain chances will be a little lower as we move into the middle of next week. Drier and slightly cooler weather is expect Thursday and Friday.
Have a great evening!
