Temperatures reached the upper 80s today across much of the Fox 6 viewing area. Some of our Weather Watchers even reported highs in the lower 90s. We'll see much of the same for tomorrow. The air mass is drying out behind the cool front with dewpoint temperatures fall into the 50s. I think we'll have even more comfortable conditions Thursday afternoon.
This is our dewpoint projection from our Microcast Model. You can see the moisture really decreases Thursday afternoon.
This is why on television I said this cold front is a actually a "not so humid" front. I am anticipating a return of moisture over the weekend. This may increase our rain chances slightly during the afternoon Friday and Saturday. The weather pattern still looks fairly quiet even through next week. We're basically talking about highs in the mid to upper 80s with lows in the mid 60s.
Beach Update: If you're going to the beach this weekend you might want to prepare for some rain and thunderstorms both Saturday and Sunday. Highs will be in the lower to mid 80s. Water temperature is around 84.
Speaking of the ocean, it looks like we'll have something trying to develop (per the GFS) by the middle of next week in the Gulf.
The system could impact Texas late next week. We'll keep a close watch.
In the meantime, enjoy the fantastic weather.
