Fox 6 Visits Riverside Near Childersburg

I want to thank Mark Morris for inviting Fox 6 to the Harbor Cove community in Riverside yesterday. This community is located along county road 98 just west of Childersburg. You can see the Wilsonville Power Plant in the far distance, on the opposite side of the Coosa.

It is a very beautiful location with a nice par 3 golf course on site. Despite the heat, lots of folks turned out for a golf tournament. Vendors were also on-hand with lots of homemade crafts.

Mark talked about how their community pulled together to help families during April 27^th 2011. The goal of this event was to raise money for a community storm shelter in Harbor Cove. I want to also thank them for the yummy cake that you see here.
