Look for an afternoon today that was much like yesterday...highs close to triple digits in many areas. We also have a 30-percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Upper 90-degree heat will likely be with us through Saturday with scattered showers.

It looks like afternoon temps will cool into the mid 90s for Sunday and Monday with a 30-to-40 percent chance of rain.

A slow moving cold front is expected to push into our area Tuesday and could stall through Thursday bringing cooler air along with a 40-percent chance of showers and storms.
