The Storm Prediction Center may issue a watch for parts of Alabama. Severe thunderstorms are likely during the overnight hours. The primary threat is high winds and small hail. The storms are orginating from another mesoscale convective system sliding down in the northwest flow. The atmosphere is very unstable so it's possible we could see storms prodcuing winds over 50mph. I would anticipate power outages. So - make sure you have a flashlight handy. The tornado threat with these storms is nearly zero.
