We're keeping a close watch on VIPIR. Storms to our northwest in Tennessee, Arkansas, and Missouri are a bit concerning. Our steering currents are out of the northwest and this will mean thunderstorms that develop upstream will likely impact us tonight. Some of those storms may pack winds over 50mph, contain hail, and produce heavy rainfall.
While this week's pattern will keep the temperatures a bit milder, it's a challenging forecast. Models do not handle this particular weather pattern well. Keep a close watch on the weather tonight and overnight due to the possibility for high winds. There is not a tornado threat, but winds could easily cause some damage. Rain and thunder could continue through early Tuesday.
We'll keep you updated through the evening here at Fox 6.
