If you didn't get wet yesterday, today could be your day...or tomorrow...or the next day...or the next. We have a decent chance of rain and thunderstorms today through the weekend and into next week.
With a soupy airmass in place, heat activated showers are likely. Speaking of heat, temperatures are not expected to be as brutal over the coming days. Look for highs close to average (near the low 90s) for this afternoon, the weekend and much of next week.
So, hold on to that umbrella. It looks like you're going to need it!
Meanwhile, we are keeping our eye on the tropics. Tropical Storm Ernesto could likely develop into a category-1 hurricane next week and enter the Gulf of Mexico.
Hope you have a great weekend!!!
