It looks like the rain and thunderstorms will continue tonight with the greatest threat for heavy rain and flooding across the Tennessee Valley. The severe threat is likely to remain in Georgia during the overnight. The threat is still very marginal. Instability is lacking as the low tracks eastward. Drier air has been limiting much of the rain across Central Alabama.
Most forecast models are indicating a rapid clearing tomorrow afternoon. I think most of the rain will be over with by 2pm with cooler and drier air quickly moving in. Looks like temperatures may actually fall into the upper 40s by Wednesday morning. High pressure building in behind this system will give us plenty of sunshine and mild temperatures.
We'll keep you updated.
