A cold front is moving through central Alabama this afternoon, and has now passed Birmingham. But, with warm air still overrunning the cold, dense air, and an upper-level disturbance, rain will continue this evening over much of the area, at least at times. Birmingham has already received over 1" of rain today. Good day to watch football! The rain will taper off late tonight, leaving some fog. Be careful driving.
Tomorrow will be cloudy and a little cold, with highs only reaching the lower 40s. It will stay cold, but not terribly so, through the end of the week.
