Our Fox 6 RPM model continues to indicate climbing rain chances over the next several days. We've seen mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures this week, but that's going to change a bit beginning tomorrow. The model is indicating our best chance of rain tomorrow West of I-65 and South of I-20/59.
A strong cold front will roll through the region late Friday into Saturday. I'm thinking most of Friday before 4pm should be dry and the heaviest rainfall should move through during the overnight hours. Rain will be likely Saturday morning as well. I'm expecting several inches of rainfall and the possibility of some localized flooding due to the slow movement of the system.
If you're heading to Talladega this weekend - I think Saturday might be in question with a good chance of rain through at least 4pm. Sunday should be drier and a bit cooler with highs barely reaching 70.
Have a great evening!
