It looks like the summer season finally decided to show up! We’re experiencing another hot and dry afternoon, with lots of sunshine. The sky will remain mostly clear through the overnight hours, with lows in the mid 60s. Tomorrow will be another dry day but we could have a shower or thunderstorm late tomorrow night.
A disturbance will move in from the northwest late tomorrow night and into the day on Monday. The chance for a passing shower or storm will linger through Monday. In fact, we could wake up to some storm activity on Monday, which would help lower temperatures. Right now we’re forecasting highs in the low 90s.
High pressure will keep our area mostly dry on Tuesday and Wednesday, with more 90 degree temperatures. A few isolated afternoon storms will be possible and this activity should dissipate at night.
Cooler Air Late Week
Long range data is showing a much cooler air mass dropping out of Canada late next week. The front leading this cooler air should reach our state during the Friday/Saturday timeframe. This could bring rain and storms Friday night or early Saturday. Folks in the Ohio Valley and New England regions are expecting highs in the 60s. Based on what we see today, our area could experience highs in the upper 70s or low 80s next Sunday.
I will be in tonight with our next LIVE forecast update on Fox 6 news at 9/10PM. Also because of special programming our weekend morning shows will begin at 6 AM over the next few weeks. Have a great weekend!
