Today a viewer asked me the big question, have we seen the last of the freezing temperatures?
You can see here that the latest outlook from the Climate Prediction Center shows a high probability of above average temperatures for the next 8 to 14 days. That being said, we can have significant cold snaps in March and April. We will see freezing temperatures again but given this pattern, the chance of a major cold snap that lasts over a week is decreasing. In fact, a light freeze will impact northern areas Thursday morning but temperatures will quickly rebound this weekend. Freezing temperatures can impact our state through late April and we can even have frost or a light freeze into the month of May. The average high temperature reaches 71° on April 1st with an average low of 41°. The Climate Prediction Center Outlook also calls for above average precipitation over the next 8-14 days.
