RAIN CHANCES ACROSS CENTRAL ALABAMA:
Showers continue to track southeastward and will be most abundant by 10:00am to the south of I-20.
Most places will be dry this afternoon though a few spotty showers can't be ruled out across the far southeast corner of the WBRC First Alert viewing area.
A cold front passes by and takes the chance for rain with it. Strong winds behind the front filter in this afternoon. Northwest winds will be sustained at 10 to 20 mph with higher gusts especially across the higher terrain. The numbers circled are the wind speeds in the graphic below fyi!
The winds die down on Sunday night and temperatures fall into the 30s area wide. I wouldn't be shocked to see areas north and east of I-20 dip into the 20s for a few hours on Monday morning. Continue to keep sensitive plants inside!
This may not be the only cold shot of the month. Long range data continues to hint at 1 or 2 more times.
Have a great rest of the weekend,
Jill Gilardi WBRC First Alert Certified Meteorologist
