Just wanted to share my thoughts, which are not an actual forecast. As we know, confidence decreases dramatically with model data beyond 3 to 7 days. Despite that fact, most meteorologists still look at the data, especially for trends.
After Tuesday the 12th, the air mass looks pretty stable until about the 20th. We'll probably be tracking a couple short waves between the 12th and 14th before the upper level pattern changes. I see more of a trough in the west/Midwest and ridge in the east/southeast. If this pans out then the stormiest weather later this month will set up across the Midwest and the quieter weather would set up across the Southeast.
In the short term, cooler than normal conditions take over through the weekend.
This colder than normal air mass is making it tough for soil temperatures to warm to a level that's safe to plant certain seeds in for germination. You may have to continue to start seeds indoors.
