Mainly rain-free this morning though some of our northern counties will get clipped by showers and storms. Development as of 8AM is already taking place across Marion and Cherokee counties.
The better rain and storm chance across central Alabama sets up this afternoon. Coverage will climb to 30% which means widely scattered in nature.
Severe weather is not expected, but heavy downpours and gusty winds are possible with the strongest of the storms.
Temperatures climb into the lower 90s this afternoon. The feel to the air though will range from the upper 90s to lower 100s at times.
Stay cool and stay weather aware,
