Over the weekend we'll be tracking the approach of a cold front. Ahead of the front it will be warm and humid and scattered showers and storms are likely, especially each afternoon. The front arrives on Sunday night and pushes south of central Alabama on Monday. Rain and storms will be confined to the Gulf Coast on Monday afternoon and drier and cooler air will filter in from the north.
It looks like the most pleasant feeling day is Tuesday. Dew point temperatures may dip as low as the 50s and morning low are projected to be in the lower and middle 60s. It has been a long time coming for a break in the humidity. The last time we had lows in the lower 60s was back in early July.
The air mass will modify some the rest of next week but I don't see wicked humid air returning just yet.
Stay cool in the meantime,
