After a very active weather week, the forecast has turned considerably more tame for the next week or so. Expect sunshine with temperatures in the lower 70s this afternoon. It will be clear and cool tonight with a low of 47. High pressure will dominate the weather over the next few days with a fairly dry airmass. Sunday should be a bit warmer with highs near 80 during the afternoon.
Maxwell Air Force Base Airshow: The weather will continue to be sunny and warm for the second day of this event tomorrow. Expect highs in the lower 80s with no rain in the forecast. Don't forget the sunscreen because the UV index will remain high.
Pollen Counts: Pollen continues to remain high in the area with tree pollen dominating. Weeds are currently in the moderate category.
Next week: We can expect mostly sunny skies with highs in the the lower 80s and more lows in the 50s. It is possible we could see a small chance for rain Tuesday afternoon and evening as well as on Friday. However, the forecast through next week looks mainly dry with little chance for measurable rainfall in the area. Above average temperatures are expected in the forecast
Long range forecast: It looks like we're heading back into a hotter and somewhat drier weather pattern with slightly below average rainfall and hotter than normal temperatures through the next few months.
